Monday calls in the beginning of an exciting celebration at Modhesh World, the region’s largest indoor edutainment venue to mark the concluding five days of the region’s biggest summer extravaganza, Dubai Summer Surprises.
Modhesh Theatre will have performers take the stage as it hosts the Masquerade party at 5:30pm. Children up to twelve years dressed as their favorite animals will entertain audiences with their performances. Three winners will be judged by a panel of jury from the Dubai Shopping Festival Office, an agency of Dubai Department of Economic Development, and the organizers of Modhesh World. A celebrity judge from Spacetoon will also be a part of this panel.
“Modhesh World has been a pioneer in honing creative talents and abilities in children. The different zones at Modhesh World not only entertain and educate the children but improve creative skills like arts, crafts and handicrafts. Performing arts help to express one self and this Masquerade Party is aimed at helping children to see performing arts as a way of expression,” said Ahmad Ali, Supervisor Modhesh World.
Each child will be given a minute on stage to enact their character. Using props is allowed, however, the act has to be solo. Winners will be decided on the basis of costume, acting and diction. Children can speak in either Arabic or English.
The most exciting part of the competition is that Modhesh will be a part of the audience and watch his little friends perform! Three lucky winners will receive prizes from none other than Modhesh himself.
Besides the party winners, the UAE Exchange Ahlan Saif Mega Draw winners will also be given their prizes. The draw had five second prizes and one mega prize giving one lucky couple an all inclusive tour of the Seven Wonders of the World.

There are no registration fees, however, entry tickets will have to be purchased on the day of the competition. Parents, families and friends are welcome to be a part of the audience. Entry to the Modhesh Theatre is free.
The Masquerade Party will conclude at 7:30pm giving way to another exciting Party, the Fresh Fruit Party at the Play and Compete Interactive Stage. Children can enjoy a wide variety of delicious fruits like oranges, kiwis, bananas and apples of every kind along with many of their favorite friends who will be the celebrity guests of the evening.
Modhesh invites everyone to celebrate the summer and be a part of the double dose of fun at Modhesh World on Party Monday.
Modhesh World doors open at 10.00am – 10:00pm from Saturdays to Wednesdays, from 10:00am – 12midnight on Thursdays, 3:00pm – 12midnight on Fridays. Tickets to the venue are priced at AED 10 - adults and 15 for kids with numerous free zones and exciting activities. Modhesh World will go on till August 14.
