The all new LR2 proved a big hit with Land Rover dealers when they recently got together for a two-day regional training course in Dubai.

The training was attended by over 120 delegates from 13 dealerships across the Middle East and North Africa who received hands-on training by professional trainers and drivers from Land Rover in the UK and the Middle East Regional Office.

The training centered around product information, sales and marketing related to the new LR2 which is a new vehicle from the ground up. Delegates had to participate in inter-active discussions, challenges and test-drive opportunities that highlighted the outstanding on- and off-road performance, dynamic design and advanced technologies of the new LR2.

Positioned as a premium compact SUV model, the new LR2 is Land Rover’s fourth new vehicle in a series of launches that have marked a new era in the history of the brand; and seen the company witness global sales record results.

Commenting on the LR2, Andy Gawthorpe, Managing Director, Land Rover Middle East said: “Our importers are extremely enthusiastic to add the new LR2 to the existing Land Rover premium SUV portfolio.  The LR2 sets new standards in the premium compact SUV sector, combining the advantages of a premium car with the attributes of a robust SUV.  We believe that no other compact SUV gets closer to blending these best-of-both-worlds abilities."

The LR2 will arrive in the Middle East in May 2007 and will help Land Rover captivate a bigger piece of the luxury SUV market.
