Kuwaiti Commerce and Social Affairs Minister Abdul Wahab Al-Wazzan arrived in Bangladesh as a special envoy of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Al-Sabah, officials said Tuesday.
The Kuwaiti minister is to hand over a message to Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajed, they said, without giving details.
He will also hold talks with Commerce Minister Abdul Jalil and Labour Minister Abdul Mannan, the official BSS news agency reported.
The envoy's Dhaka visit comes amid reports of new tension in the Gulf following Iraqi accusations that Kuwait had been stealing oil from border oilfields prompting Kuwait to appeal to the world to take "serious measures" against Baghdad.
