Kuwait’s Oil Minister Adel Al Subaih denied Saturday that his country was discussing possible Indian investment in a Kuwaiti oilfield, reported the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

“We in Kuwait have no knowledge about the subject that the Indian (petroleum) minister is talking about,” SPA quoted the minister as telling the daily Al Rai Al Aam.

SPA said that India's Petroleum Minister Ram Naik on Thursday told MPs that the Indian Oil Corp. (IOC) and Oil and Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC) were teaming up to invest in a Kuwaiti oilfield and in an exploration bloc in the Gulf.

“Currently, there are no negotiations with any of these parties,” Subaih added – Albawaba.com
