The football stadium of the Jubilee School hosted last Sunday some of the most intense games in the Kia Champ into the Arena tournament, the largest football quintuplet in the Kingdom.

The Amin Shuqair Warehouses and Duo Cartoons teams qualified for the final game after the first conquered the Hamada Restaurant Team with 5 goals to 4 and the latter defeated the Gendarmerie Team 4 to 3. The games enjoyed a massive turnout by cheerers, many of whom commended the outstanding display of athletic ability and sportsmanship.

The two teams will meet for a final match on Wednesday, June 9th at 8:00 p.m. to decide which team will represent Jordan in the global quintuplet tournament organized for Kia’s dealerships, which will take place in South Africa. The winning team will also have the chance to attend one of the games during the quarter finals of the 2010 World Cup.

The tournament’s proceedings concluded last Saturday with four games held between the eight qualifying teams. Duo Cartoons won against Khattab Advertising with 9 goals to 8, whereas the Gendarmerie won Amin Shuqair 5 to 4.

The Kia Champ into the Arena tournament comes as part of a series of initiatives that Kia Motors Corporation is licensed by FIFA to organize in various parts of the globe in preparation for the 2010 World Cup.  The event is also organized in partnership with IRIS International Sports Academy.
