"Khaberni Mobile" Service Expands to Reach Umniah Subscribers
Khaberni.com, the renowned online news portal, announced recently the signing of a mutual cooperation agreement with Umniah, Jordan's latest mobile operator and a subsidiary of Batelco Bahrain Group, under which Khaberni's "Khaberni Mobile" service will expand and become fully accessible to Umniah's subscribers.
Khaberni Mobile allows subscribers to know the latest news around the clock through a direct SMS service delivered to their mobile phones in both English and Arabic. The service had been launched in the beginning of October after the mutual cooperation agreement was signed by Mr. Joseph Hananiah, Umniah's CEO, and Mr. Thamer Al Odwan, Khaberni's Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Commenting on the signing of the mutual cooperation agreement, Hananiah said: "As news reporting has become as fast paced as everything else in our time, we at Umniah strive to provide our subscribers with the latest services that allow them to access current events around the world in a timely manner around the clock. We have therefore joined hands with Khaberni due to the collective positive feedback their service had received and the high level of professionalism the company has become known for."
Al Odwan echoed Hananiah's sentiments, expressing his joy at the signing of this agreement. "We are delighted to team up with one of the giants of the Jordanian telecom sector. At Khaberni, we continually hope that our services reach as many consumer groups as possible, and this service allows us to deliver to our readers the latest headlines in a manner timelier than that offered by any other medium."
It is worth noting that Khaberni Mobile service covers all of the sections and categories contained in the Khaberni website which include economics, sports, politics, technology, daily expressionist caricatures depicting regional and international persona drawn by the artist Bashir Mraish and published exclusively on the website, in addition to exclusive photographic stills taken by renowned Jordanian photographer Ra'ad Adaileh.
The service is also entirely customizable, as Umniah's subscribers are able to choose the sections they wish to subscribe to. Subscribers can also specify if they wish to receive their items in standard SMS messages or in the more dynamic MMS.
