Jotun signs EGP 1 million contract with Alexandria Governmental Bureau and Arab Contractors Company

Jotun Paints, one of the world’s leading producers and suppliers of paints, coatings and powder coatings, has secured an EGP 1 million contract with Alexandria Governmental Bureau and Arab Contractors Company. The deal involves the delivery of 40 tons of white and yellow ‘Road Marking Paint’, which are intended for the streets of Alexandria in Egypt. At present, Jotun Egypt has already supplied a total of 35 tons of paint, and is expecting to complete the delivery and paint works by the end of the year.

The road marking initiative includes all the streets of Alexandria, including main thoroughfares such as Al Corniche St., Gamal Abd Al Nasser St., Al Horria St., and Airport Road. Jotun’s ‘Road Marking Paint’, has been selected after a close study of the volume of vehicles accommodated by the roads, and also due to its excellent durability and quick drying properties. The specialty paint product is an acrylic solvent based formula that is specially formulated to resist abrasion in areas with high traffic, and can also be applied with special glass beads to reflect light.

In addition to using only its high quality products, Jotun Paints will also deploy trained and experienced specialists to manage the application of ‘Road Marking Paint’ within the streets of Alexandria.
