ALBAWABA - The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a firm condemnation on Tuesday after two Jordanian citizens were killed by Israeli forces in the city of Tulkarm in the northern West Bank on Monday. The Ministry has urged Tel Aviv to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.
The Ministry's official spokesman, Ambassador Sufian Al-Qudah, claims that Jordan has requested that Israeli authorities conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the circumstances behind the killings. They emphasize how crucial responsibility and openness are to solving this serious issue.
Furthermore, the Ministry called upon Israel, as the occupying power, to assume full responsibility for the incident and to disclose all details related to the operation. It stated that diplomatic actions would be taken in accordance with international laws and agreements.
The Ministry confirmed that it is in direct communication with the families of the deceased citizens, who also hold Palestinian identities.
While the Ministry did not provide specific details regarding the incident, the official Palestinian news agency "WAFA" reported on Monday evening the tragic loss of two individuals. One victim, identified as Tawfiq Awwad Fawaz Hussein, hailed from Jordan and held Palestinian citizenship, residing in the village of Kafrat west of Jenin. The other victim, Mohammed Jaafar Mustafa Jabr, was from the town of Arraba south of Jenin.
The Ministry is in active communication with the victims' families, who possess Palestinian identity papers, as stated by Ambassador Al-Qudah. The Ministry has sent the deceased families its deepest sympathies during this difficult time.
