Jordan sends aid convoy to Gaza

AMMAN — The Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), dispatched a new food aid convoy to Gaza, in partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP) and several international organizations.

The convoy, consisting of 91 trucks, carried essential food items for distribution to the people of Gaza through various partner associations and organizations, according to a statement by JHCO on Saturday.

JHCO Secretary-General Hussein Shibli said that Jordan is now considered the humanitarian gateway for aid directed to the people of Gaza and the main lifeline supported by various organizations, sectors, and countries.


He emphasised that Jordan is committed to delivering diverse and essential donations and ensuring the continued entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza

Shibli said that the Gaza Strip has received a total of 1412 trucks and 53 planes arriving via Egypt’s Al Arish airport, while 92 Jordanian airdrops have been executed, along with 231 airdrops carried out in cooperation with allied countries.
