Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini arrived in Saudi Arabia where he was due to review the future of Iraq and the international oil market, his spokesman said.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal greeted Frattini when he flew into the Red Sea port city of Jeddah, SPA news agency reported.
Italian diplomatic sources said Frattini would have a working dinner with Prince Saud and the two men would hold further talks on Wednesday.
The Italian top diplomat would also meet with Saudi crown prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Wednesday, the sources said.
The talks will also deal with "terrorism" and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the spokesman said, adding that Frattini would meet the secretary general of the Jeddah-based Organization of the Islamic Conference, Abdelwahed Belkeziz. (Albawaba.com)
