ALBAWABA - An Israeli strike targeted a vehicle heading to Lebanon on the Beirut-Damascus highway, and killed 4 people.
The strike, which took place near Al Zabadani in northwestern Damascus, came after several Israeli strikes targeted Syrian military sites with artillery strikes in southern Syria.
Speaking to Al Araby Al Jadeed, a senior official in monitoring, tracking and following up units affiliated with the Syrian opposition said that after the strike, an investigation was launched and revealed that a guided missile was used to target the vehicle which carried four people heading to Beirut.
The explosion happened near a checkpoint overseen by the Syrian Army's 4th division, which is led by Bashar Al Assad's Brother Maher, at the Beirut junction bridge, near the Zabadani city junction, Northwest of Damascus. It is possible that a Hezbollah leader was among the casualties.
