Israeli President Ezer Weizman was taken ill during a diplomatic corps reception Wednesday to mark the country's independence day, public radio reported.
The 76-year-old president fainted as he was greeting ambassadors at his Jerusalem residence, but recovered shortly after.
Doctors said he was suffering from dehydration. He has not been hospitalized and is due to preside at an evening function for national awards – OCCUPIED JERUSALEM (AFP).
