Jerusalem police arrested overnight an official of the Wakf (religious properties authority), reported The Jerusalem Post newspaper.
A police source said the man, identified only as Abu Kteish, was placed under arrest for assaulting police officers, incitement and disturbing the peace.
The report said that Abu Kteish will be arraigned on Sunday in the Jerusalem magistrates' court.
Last October, Palestinian officials said that a woman settler attacked two Waqf officials in Hebron, said Haaretz newspaper.
