Nine Palestinian children, aged 10 to 15, were abandoned at the Latrun junction by an Israeli who employed them in the Kfar Sava region for agricultural work, Haaretz reported Thursday.
The children were found Tuesday night by Moshe Pelm, a Beit Shemesh businessman, who noticed two youngsters waving in distress by the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem highway, the Israeli paper said.
Pelm related Wednesday that he stopped his vehicle, and two children ran up to him, asking for water, the daily said, adding that he offered enough water for the pair to drink, only to be told by them "no, we need lots of water."
