ALBAWABA- In a significant development, Israeli War Council member Benny Gantz has conveyed to the French Defense Minister that Israel is on the verge of launching a large-scale operation deep into Lebanese territory.
The Israeli Defense Minister asserted that even if Hezbollah were to halt its operations, Israel would not cease its actions until a change in the security situation along the northern border is achieved.
Furthermore, the Israeli Defense Minister warned that a conflict with Hezbollah would be severe for Israel while inflicting devastating consequences on both Hezbollah and Lebanon.
In a contrasting view, the Israeli Minister of National Security, extremist Itamar Ben Gvir, and Israeli Heritage Minister issued a threat, stating that if the war comes to a halt, their party would withdraw from Benjamin Netanyahu's government and, consequently, from the war council.
The Israeli War Council appears to be internally divided over the prospect of halting military operations in Gaza.
