ALBAWABA - Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said Hamas won't stop fighting until Israeli troops leave Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insisted that Israel needs to continue its operation in Rafah, Gaza's south, or risk losing against Hamas.
Netanyahu also mentioned that talks with Hamas in Cairo, urged by US President Joe Biden, stalled because Hamas demands were unacceptable. He said any deal with Palestinians must come from direct talks without conditions.
Netanyahu told Biden that Israel won't agree to a Palestinian state after October 7th, seeing it as a reward for past events. Israeli forces are gearing up for an operation in Rafah, aiming for total victory.
Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that an Israeli incursion into Rafah seems unavoidable. President Isaac Herzog stressed the need to dismantle Hamas's infrastructure, while Defense Minister Benny Gantz warned of entering Rafah if Hamas doesn't agree to a ceasefire, even during Ramadan.
Israel has intensified attacks in Nusairat and Deir al-Balah, including hitting the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, showing a focus on specific targets in Gaza.
