Israeli forces apprehended Saturday a suspected IRA bomb expert who was believed to arrive in the region in order to train Palestinians in the West Bank.
Earlier it was reported that a massive manhunt wss underway for the man. According to the Observer newspaper, Israeli police and the internal security agency Shin Bet are searching for the man who arrived at Israel's International Airport three weeks ago, travelling on a British passport.
The bomb expert has been sent to the Occupied Territories to share his expertise to groups like Islamic Jihad, The Observer added on Sunday.
Israeli sources told the newspaper that the man travelled on his own passport posing as a tourist when he arrived at Tel Aviv. (Albawaba.com)
