Israel's military operations against the Palestinians on Thursday have been called to a halt, Prime Minister Ehud Barak's adviser on political and military affairs announced, reported(AFP)
"For now, the limited operation of our forces against precise targets is over," said Danny Yatom.
"It should show that our patience has its limits, and (Palestinian leader) Yasser Arafat can now show, as he has often done in the past, that he is capable of restoring calm," Yatom said on Israeli TV.
"If he attacks us, we will reply and we will defend ourselves," he warned, while slamming the release of Islamic militant HAMAS members from Palestinian jails as a violation of Arafat's commitments to Israel and Washington – (AFP)
