Iraq's Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan has called for Arabs to threaten US and Israeli interests in their countries in solidarity with the Palestinian uprising against the Jewish state.
"The struggle must now advance to the stage of threats against all US and Zionist interests ... as well as forces hostile to the Intifada (uprising)," he said on Iraqi television late Saturday.
"The enemies of jihad (holy war) are now counting on the time element" to halt the Palestinian revolt, said Ramadan, whose country says it has raised six million volunteers to wage jihad against Israel.
"But the Arab masses must ensure continuation of the Intifada on all fronts ... and confront their authorities if they turn into agents in the service of US and Zionist interests."
Ramadan said that some Arab countries were acting "against a unification of Arab ranks ... like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait."
Turning to the flurry of foreign flights which have challenged a UN air embargo, the vice president urged organizers not to request prior authorization from the UN sanctions committee.
