Iran's judiciary chief is due to visit Saudi Arabia for talks with senior officials, a spokesman said Wednesday.

Judiciary spokesman Gholam-Hossein Elham told IRNA news agency that Ayatollah Mahmud Hashemi-Shahrudi would start his two-day visit to the Saudi Kingdom on Saturday, to discuss "important regional issues... and a joint campaign against regional organized crime."

"A memorandum of understanding will also be signed to promote bilateral judicial ties," he added.

Meanwhile, however, AFP reported that according to diplomats, Tehran is engaged in secret negotiations with Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Kuwait over the extradition of several top aides to Osama bin Laden. (Albawaba.com)
