Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi is expected to arrive in Japan on Wednesday for talks with government officials on Tehran's suspected nuclear program, the Japanese foreign ministry said.

Kharazi is set to arrive on a specially chartered plane late Wednesday.

The top Iranian diplomat is set to meet Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and Foreign Minister Yoriko Kawaguchi on Thursday.

Kawaguchi is expected to "urge Iran to cooperate with inspections by the IAEA over the nuclear issue," AFP cited a ministry official as saying. (Albawaba.com)
