Iran's deposits in overseas banks reached thirteen billion dollars last year, the highest level for at least 15 years, reported the Iranian News Agency (IRNA).
By the end of the third quarter of 2000, Iran's deposits with international banks reached 12.992 billion dollars.
“The rise is more than two billion dollars after adjusting currency fluctuations, and a 100 percent more than the level at the beginning of 1999,” an official told the agency – Albawaba.com
