The Iranian state-owned company Azarab on Monday won a 9-million-dollar contract to upgrade the Syrian Banias refinery, 260 kilometers north of the Syrian capital, reported the official IRNA news agency.
According to the contract signed between Azarab and the Syrian oil ministry, the Iranian side will set up a boiler at the refinery within a period of 15 months, said the agency.
The boiler will have a 150-ton/hour capacity.
Banias is currently refining around 135,000 barrels per day.
