GCC delegations have called upon the European Union (EU), to exert pressure on Iran to enter into serious negotiations on the topic of the three UAE islands occupied by Tehran or to refer the subject to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), according to Emirates News Agency.
In a statement to the News Agency, Khalid Al Ghaith, Deputy Director of the GCC department at the UAE Foreign Ministry and head of the country's delegation at the GCC-EU joint meetings to prepare for the two blocs Ministerial conference, stated that the European side had shown an understanding of the UAE and GCC demands.
He added that the GCC and the EU share similar views regarding this matter. (Albawaba.com)
