Iran says nuclear talks with EU “not certain”

Iran's Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), Hassan Rowhani, is set to meet the foreign ministers of France, Germany, Britain and senior EU official, Javier Solana, in Brussels on May 24.

"In principle the meeting will take place in Brussels. It has, however, not been formally confirmed. Details are being finalized," EU diplomatic sources said in Brussels Thursday.

Meanwhile, Iran’s decision to resume some of its sensitive nuclear development is “irreversible” despite the danger of being referred to the UN Security Council, a senior official told AFP on Thursday. Nuclear negotiator Hossein Moussavian also cautioned that it was “not certain” that the crisis talks will take place next week with the foreign ministers of Britain, France and Germany.
