ALBAWABA- Israeli forces have conducted multiple raids on towns in southern Lebanon, including Al-Kafour, Shuhour, and Qaqaiya Al-Jisr, with two additional strikes on the town of Khiyam.
One of the raids specifically targeted the Civil Defense Center affiliated with the Islamic Health Authority in Al-Kafour. Israeli warplanes were reported to have broken the sound barrier over the Lebanese capital, and an Israeli strike occurred on the Rayhan Heights.
In response to these incursions, Hezbollah has launched counterattacks, targeting Israeli forces in the Hanita settlement with a rocket barrage.
Additionally, Hezbollah fighters successfully struck a Merkava tank in the Hamams area near Khiyam with a guided missile, resulting in significant damage and casualties among the crew. They also targeted Israeli positions in the Khallet al-Asafir area of Khiyam with artillery fire.
Israeli media reported that sirens were activated in several northern towns, including Kabri, Yaara, Metzova, Shlomi, Hanita, and Avdon, as a missile barrage was launched toward western Galilee.
Channel 12 stated that the infrastructure in the town of Matula has suffered extensive damage beyond just residential buildings.
Furthermore, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) confirmed that a rocket struck their headquarters in Naqoura, likely launched by Hezbollah or an affiliated group. Several UNIFIL soldiers sustained minor injuries due to the attack.
