Intaj & QRCE Signs Joint Cooperation Agreement

A joint cooperation agreement was signed yesterday between QRCE and Intaj. The agreement mainly focuses on the activation of exchanging expertise in the spheres of support and development of the pioneering environment, and innovation in the Jordanian business sector, particularly in communications and information technology.

As a first step to activate the agreement, a new training course titled “Innovation in Business” will soon be announced; the organization and design of the subject matter will be the responsibility of QRCE, whereas Intaj, due to its experienced staff in this area, will make available competent trainers with long experiences in innovation techniques. The three-day course aims to define, stress the importance and means of development of, and utilize the innovation concept in the business environment. In addition, the course will offer effective practical solutions that will boost participants’ capabilities in bringing about change in their companies and establishments, and facilitate the adoption of the required enhancements, which will definitely result in the creation of innovative-support environment.

Mr. Abdul Majid Shamlawi, Intaj’s Executive President, underscored the significance of the agreement saying, “It reflects Intaj’s efforts that aim at establishing solid partnerships which benefit all parties concerned with the purpose of serving the human resources development efforts in the communications and information technology sector.”

On his part, the Acting Director of QRCE Mr. Mohammad Khawaja said, “In today’s world of business, innovation is not something luxurious that can be ignored by traditional administrators at any establishments,” he added, “we strive to build Jordanian companies capable of competing within or outside Jordan, with the aim of surmounting the limitations of the Jordanian market volume and upgrading Jordanian industries-including software industry- in order to increase our knowledge-base economy.

It is to noted that all interested private and public sectors will be invited to benefit from the various joint activities stemming from signing the above-mentioned agreement between QRCE and Intaj to realize the benefits hoped for in all areas and sectors.

QRCE, a non-profit and non-governmental organization plays a pivotal role in the support of knowledge-based economy in Jordan and the region. It is part of El-Hassan Science City which includes Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), the Royal Scientific Society (RSS), and the higher Center for Science and Technology (HCST). 

Intaj, which represents the umbrella under which communications and information technology companies sector operates, is also a non-governmental establishment interested in supporting and developing software and communications industry in Jordan through the development of human  resources and business environment in this sector as well as its efforts in expansion by the creation of new markets.

Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship is a non-profit and non-governmental organization that has played a pivotal role in supporting the knowledge-based economy in Jordan and the region. The QRCE is part of El Hassan Science City, located in Jubaiha, Jordan, which includes Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), The Royal Scientific Society (RSS), and the Higher Council for Science and Technology (HCST). The QRCE provides several programs, such as the Cisco Entrepreneur Institute, the Queen Rania National Entrepreneurship Competition (QRNEC), Technology Commercialization Program (TCP), Made in Jordan Competition, CONNECT Jordan, and the Student Entrepreneurship Society (DART).
