Commenting on the workshop, Dr. Abdulla Abonamah, Director, Institute of Technological Innovation, said, "Sound technology strategies within the organisation are important for a company’s success and these strategies must be focused on three areas: people, process and systems. An organisation must have people who are skilled and motivated to carry out any IT project and meet challenges to ensure that technology adds business value to an organisation rather than compromising its operations. Systems must also be balanced according to various factors such as functionality, scalability, performance, availability and cost to meet the business needs."

Injazat Data Systems has been an influential figure in IT technology with its phenomenal rise as the leading ITO and BPO service provider in the region within just two years of its establishment. Its extensive industry expertise and in-depth experience in IT management ensures that Injazat is an invaluable resource partner of the workshop.

Other activities at the workshop were related to identifying challenges critical to organisations; implementing practices that ensure excellence in delivery; creating a standard process-oriented approach; ensuring a customer-focused culture; transformation to a people-edge organisation; and managing organisational alignment as a process using the Balanced Score Card.

Injazat is a joint venture between Mubadala Development Company, Abu Dhabi Government’s investment arm; and global IT services giant Electronic Data Systems. Taking advantage of the boom in the IT sector, Injazat Data Systems has amassed more than 1.3 billion worth of deals in two years of operation, making it the UAE’s top IT outsourcing services provider, according to the research group IDC (2005).
