Under the patronage of his Highness the prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al Ahmad Al -Sabah, Injaz Kuwait commences preparations for the third annual ‘Battle of the Best’ competition to be held on the 21st of June 2008 for the third consecutive time.

This year, INJAZ Kuwait conducted programs in 24 schools, both public and private, across Kuwait. While around 600 students were enrolled with INJAZ, this year witnesses a phenomenal number of students in the age group of 16-18 years that will participate in the INJAZ Company Program. These students will compete in the third annual ‘Battle of the Best’ competition where the winner will carry the title - the Best Company of the year 2008.

Rana Kamshad, Injaz Kuwait’s Executive Director said: “I would like to note that we are immensely pleased to have been able to organize the INJAZ Kuwait ‘Battle of the Best’ competition under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nasser Mohammed Al Sabah, Kuwait’s Prime Minister. We also would like to extend our appreciation to the sponsoring companies who vitally contributed to this competition. We thank our Gold sponsors: Zain Group and Gulf Bank, and our Silver Sponsors:  Arabian Motors Group one of Hamad M Al Wazzan’s companies, Al Humaidi Group, Kuwait Small Projects Development Company and Al Ra’eda Small Projects Company, who have made this competition possible.”

“Our students expressed their enthusiasm and showed their dedication and commitment towards the ‘Battle of the Best’ competition and are well prepared for it. “We are satisfied with the achieved results of this year and I am sure that Kuwait is anxiously waiting to view the astounding work that our students will display. The level of professionalism and dedication that these young entrepreneurs have shown are a testimony to their talent and perseverance. They are the bedrock of our future, and that future, is looking very encouraging,” added Kamshad.

These emerging student companies worked through actual economic entities that reflect the actual management of Kuwaiti youth and their innovative strategies in business management, which combines the missions, goals and values of companies under the umbrella and regulation of the Injaz Kuwait.

“Not only does Injaz Kuwait feels satisfied about realizing the dreams and ambitions of these young Kuwaiti entrepreneurs in giving them the opportunity to run their own companies, but it also aims at strengthening leadership skills, boosting self-confidence and developing expertise that will make them future leaders in all sectors. It will also contribute to creating a new generation of dedicated Kuwaiti men and women for a better and more prosperous future,” continued Kamshad.

The ‘Battle of the Best 08” competition  will bring these students together in a day-long event at the Sheraton Hotel, which will enable them to showcase their businesses in designated booths and present themselves effectively to Kuwait’s professional community. It will also serve as a creative, educational and fun space for students to share and develop ideas.  Each group will present their business plan to a panel of five judges, who will then evaluate the final presentations of each group. A first, second and third place will be respectively awarded to the top 3 companies.

In many respects, Injaz Kuwait’s comprehensive program serves as a platform for these students to develop and strengthen their professional and interpersonal skills to be able to efficiently contribute to Kuwait’s national economy, while at the same time reinforcing Kuwait’s future generation’s abilities and creativity through supporting student related initiatives. It also aims at giving those young generations the opportunity to thoroughly understand various existing economic prospects available within the domestic market through professional experience that is provided by expert volunteers from the private sector. Being part of ‘Junior Achievement Worldwide’ Injaz benefits from provided programs that connect both professionalism at work along with school related curriculum, which brings together students, teachers, parents and other members of the Kuwaiti business community. Injaz Kuwait enjoys being at a unique position, which allows it to actively involve the Kuwaiti society in inspiring and educating the future generations.
