Hundreds of Dubai-based employees of global marine terminal operator DP World attended an Iftar reception yesterday (August 25) organised by the company's management at Jebel Ali Port.
Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, DP World, UAE Region, shared an Iftar meal with the workers in a friendly and informal environment at the DP World Staff Accommodation mosque.
Also present at the function was Sheikh Abdullah Al Kamali, Head of the Maktoum Centre for Holy Quran Recitation at the Islamic Affairs Department in Dubai, who delivered a lecture after Iftar.
Mohammed Al Muallem, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, DP World, UAE Region, said:

DP World's Ramadan Social Initiative programme includes road safety workshops for staff in cooperation with the RTA, a blood donation drive for the Thalassemia Centre, voluntary work in conjunction with the UAE Red Crescent, a book donation campaign and other charity work.
DP World's global team of 30,000 employees is made up of more than 90 different nationalities, reflecting the scope and scale of its operations with 50 terminals across the world.
