ALBAWABA - Hamas negotiators in Cairo revealed that they have received a new proposal to end the ongoing war in Gaza, a Palestinian official said Monday.
AFP cited the Palestinian official, who said that the new suggested agreement calls for a 60-day truce and hostage release in two batches.
"The proposal is a framework agreement to launch negotiations on a permanent ceasefire," said the official, who preferred not to unveil their identity, adding that "Hamas will hold internal consultations among its leadership" and with leaders of other Palestinian factions to study and respond to the suggested deal.
Today, Palestinian PM Mohammad Mustafa arrived at an airport in El-Arish in Egypt on August 18, to visit Palestinians wounded in the Israel-Hamas war and visit the Rafah border crossing from the Egyptian side.
Mustafa was welcomed and accompanied by Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty.
