ALBAWABA - Hamas, the Palestinian resistance, has carried out a slew of well-coordinated attacks against Israeli military targets and equipment in different parts of Gaza, causing fatalities and damage.
The armed branch of Hamas, Al-Qassam Brigades, reportedly battled Israeli soldiers in a sophisticated operation that was successful and resulted in the loss of a Merkava tank and fatalities among its crew. Furthermore, it has been claimed that Hamas gunmen attacked and neutralized seven Israeli troops in Jabalia, which is in the northern region of the Gaza Strip.
Not that the action was restricted to Jabalia; nearby, Hamas claimed to have sniped an Israeli soldier. Subsequent interactions included the intentional destruction of a military bulldozer and the bombardment of Israeli positions in several areas around Gaza.
Pictures that Hamas has been circulating allegedly show clashes between its militants and Israeli forces close to the Jabalia refugee camp.
According to Aljazeera's reports, Hamas gunmen on the southern border damaged an Israeli military transport near Rafah and killed its occupants. It was reported that helicopters were used to evacuate victims.
Apart from firing shells and improvised explosive devices against Israeli military vehicles east of the city and close to the Rafah border, Hamas also said to have damaged many Merkava tanks and fought Israeli soldiers in Jabalia.
Additionally, Hamas terrorists claimed to have demolished a rigged home containing Israeli special forces troops and exploded a tunnel entrance, inflicting deaths among Israeli engineering forces.
Israeli helicopters were said to have touched down in combat zones east of Rafah amid these events.
These operations are a part of the continuing fighting between Israeli troops and Hamas in many locations of Gaza, such as the Zaytoun neighborhood in northern Gaza City and al-Maghraqa, as well as the central governorate near the Wadi Gaza bridge.
