Hamas on Sunday confirmed the re-election of Khaled Mashaal for the chairmanship of its political bureau for the fourth consecutive time. According to a statement quoted by PIC, the former Palestinian FM Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zahhar, Dr. Khalil Al-Heyya and Nizar Awadallah from the Gaza Strip were also elected to the political bureau along with the current members Dr. Mousa Abu Marzouk (deputy), Sami Khater, Emad Al-Alami, Mohammed Nazzal, Ezzet Al-Resheq and Mohammed Nasr.
The names of the elected members from the West Bank were not announced for security reasons.
