The two great actresses Faten Hamama and Athar El Hakim have decided to re-ignite their careers by starring in a Ramadan series.
According to the Middle East news agency, actress Athar El Hakim, who is under contract for various Ramadan television series, will first appear in Al Firar Min Al Hub (Running Away From Love), which talks about life in the Said area of Egypt.
Hakim, who has been away from the screen for two years, will star in the series, which also explores themes such as destructive traditional thinking, primitive cultures and, specifically, crimes of passion.
Actors Kamal Abu Riah, Aida Abdul Aziz and Rogina co-star alongside Hakim, while Majdi Abu Omeira directs and Mohammad Safaa Omar produces.
For the indoor shooting, the producer chose the Media Production Center in Egypt; but the outdoor shots took place in the Luxor archeological area in south Egypt, which is located right in the middle of the Said area.
Meanwhile another great actress is ready for her comeback.
Well known as the Lady of the Egyptian Screen, Fatin Hamama will make her comeback, after five years of resting, in the new series Wajh Al Qamar (The Face of the Moon). Faten’s last series was Thameer Ablah Hikmat (The Conscience of Teacher Hikmat). Meanwhile, Faten’s comeback has not been without problems. The actress found herself constantly complaining during the shooing of the series because of the lack of punctuality on the part of her co-stars.
Such a lack of time management results in the delayed delivery of the series to Satellite networks.
Jamil Rateb, Ahmad Ramzi, Hassan Husni, Wael Nour and Mahmoud Qabeel co-star with Faten.
The actors claim that their lack of punctuality is due to their hectic shooting schedules.
The director of the series, Adel El A’sar was forced to ask for help from the Director General of the Union of Artists, Youssef Chaban.
A’sar asked Chaban to push the actors to stick to their designated times, giving Faten as the perfect example of reliability, since the actress shows up before the scheduled time for shooting. He also praised Faten for staying onboard until shooting is over -- Albawaba.com.
