Global Village, a member of Tatweer Dubai and a premier entertainment destination in the region, is currently hosting an exciting jet-ski stunt show aptly named ‘Beach Adrenaline’. The event is the first-of-its-kind in the Middle East and features gravity-defying water stunts performed by world-class ski-riders. The show is part of the varied entertainment activities being organised by Global Village this year.

Shown four times a day and starting at 6pm between November 12, 2008 and January 10, 2009, ‘Beach Adrenaline’ consists of a storyline combined with perfectly choreographed stunts. The team includes Tom Meany - a World Cup Freestyle Champion in 1995 and a stunt veteran; Tony Sleeman - the1200cc World Champion in Stock Class; Gil Beaurnier - the first-ever to do the Double Back Flip stunt and ranked third in the 2007 World Championship Free Rider Competition; Julien Herpsont - ranked fifth in the France National Free Rider Championship; Brad Prust - a free ride master; and Amelie Sinapin - race car driver and member of the show for the past two years.

The show is about an amateur lifeguard, played by Julien, who needs to go through a series of tests in order to be accepted. In this premise, the jet-ski riders create an impressive array of stunts through a race, freestyle, synchronised aquatic ballet and individual solo freestyle performance.

Highlights of the show include the Human Torch – a fire-act on water performed by Tom Meany in the last show of the day. Located by the lake in Global Village, the show depicts the authentic Californian beach environment including a lifeguard station, beach sand, a four-wheel lifeguard truck. ‘Beach Adrenaline’ is free for Global Village visitors.
