Office furniture and solutions provider, Kinnarps Project Solutions (KPS), has opened a new furniture showroom in Dubai’s Al Quoz industrial area, as part of the company’s expansion in the Middle East.

The new showroom, covering approximately 2,500 sq ft over two floors, is the first to be opened by KPS in the UAE, and the second showroom in the region. KPS also has a showroom facility in Doha, Qatar.

Chris Watson, Managing Director of KPS, said he hopes the new facility, which is currently open via invitation and appointment only, will inspire prospective clients with the latest office furniture and fit-out ideas, many of which will be highlighted by the company when it takes part in the Office Exhibition, from 3-5 March at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

“The new showroom in Al Quoz will provide an opportunity for clients to see furniture in a complete office scenario. It will allow them to test a broad range of office products and learn about the ergonomic benefits they bring,” said Watson.

KPS is using the Office Exhibition, the region’s leading office supplies, fit-out, consultancy and technology event, to attract potential clients and new distributors.

Organised by dmg world media, the exhibition is considered the most important event in the Middle East for the design and management of the office environment, and a launch pad for new technology.

Sinead Brigett, Exhibition Director, dmg world media said: “Office technology is fast becoming an essential consideration for architects and designers and is at the forefront of any office fit-out or re-design.  For the first time, the event will have a dedicated technology sector to showcase the latest solutions and innovations.

“The Office Exhibition is more than a furniture showcase. Now in its eighth year, the event brings together the world’s most important manufacturers, suppliers and consultants, and offers unrivalled networking opportunities for exhibitors and visitors alike.”

The Office Exhibition will feature a networking area called the Indy Lounge, a two-day seminar programme featuring world renowned speakers and The Loft, a student design competition involving four UAE universities.

Watson said KPS is hoping to promote their company name at the exhibition, following a recent re-brand. “We represent a large number of international brands including Kinnarps, Klaessons, Materia, Alea, Bisley, JEC, Burotime, Connection and Techo,
and as such, offer a broad range of solutions for today’s work space. We look forward to sharing our extensive knowledge with existing and potential clients at this year’s show

KPS has been operating in the Middle East for 16 years and since 1995, has established offices in Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Doha, Jeddah, Riyadh, Khobar and in Bahrain. Furthermore, KPS has recently opened an office in Sydney, Australia.

The company has a combined workforce of 280 people and has worked with several high profile clients in the region including ABB, Dubai World, Dubai Properties, Fulbright Jaworski, Nokia, Johnson & Johnson, Ericsson, EC Harris and Colliers.
