Moroccan running champion Jaoud Gharib is among the competitors in the Lisbon Half Marathon scheduled for 13 March. The runners are expected to use this event in preparation for various international marathons. Gharib's chances to win seem slim as other participants include world record holder, Paul Tergat of Kenya. In addition to Tergat, Ethiopia's legendary Haile Gebrselassie is expected to run in Lisbon.
