GETEX Dubai 2010, the education show offering students access to universities enrolling students for early 2010, has revealed that major education providers and other key education industry players have already committed to participate in GETEX Dubai 2010, as the UAE continues to be a fertile ground for new investments and initiatives in the education sector.

GETEX Dubai 2010 aims to provide a strategic platform that will help optimise and generate greater value in the government's education expenditure, particularly in view of a recent pronouncement to allocate 22.5 per cent or nearly a quarter of the UAE Federal budget for 2010 on education, funnelling up to AED 9.8 billion to numerous school projects and higher education initiatives.

Organised under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, GETEX Dubai 2010 – which will take place from April 14th to 17th at the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre- will host representative universities affiliated with the Ministry including the Higher Colleges of Technology and UAE University and Zayed University. Prominent regional and international institutions have likewise committed to attend the event, including Dubai Knowledge Village, Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), Dubai International Academic City and Campus France.

GETEX 2010 is hosting over 400 local, regional and international universities, colleges and institutes, offering well over 2500 education study options to learners. With a comprehensive schedule of seminars and personalized student counselling sessions, GETEX aims to offer students guidance and help in making the right decisions about their further education and future.

Anselm Godinho, Managing Director, International Conferences & Exhibitions (IC&E) – organisers of the event, said: "GETEX continues to position itself as a catalyst of change in the UAE's education sector by unlocking new possibilities in the delivery of education and training to students and the public in general. Education is an important component in the country's development strategy as underlined by the huge investments and expenditure by the government on education each year. It is our objective to provide a suitable networking avenue that will enable the government to optimise and help direct its expenditures to the right investment initiatives, particularly in terms of education expertise, technology and knowledge."

GETEX is the largest education fair in the Middle East and Asia and offers the most comprehensive platform for learners, academics, job seekers and education procurement specialists to interact, network and exchange ideas. The event has consistently satisfied the expectations of both exhibitors and visitors, which has made it one of the most important calendared events in the Middle East education industry.
