The Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) Dubai 2007, the Middle East’s leading education exhibition, opens tomorrow, Wednesday, 11th April 2007, as a one stop platform for education providers, vocational training programs and didactic technology vendors to liaise and network with students, investors and professionals. The 19th edition of the region’s premier education event will be held in Halls 1 and 2 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from 11th to 14th April 2007.

“GETEX has developed into one of the world’s leading education exhibitions and its quality visitors and diverse international exhibitors have cemented its credentials as the premier education and training event in the regional calendar. The 19th edition of GETEX is gearing up to be the most comprehensive yet, with an extended line up of exhibitors addressing emerging needs in education, training and technology,” said Anselm Godinho, Managing Director of IC&E, the organisers of the exhibition.

GETEX 2007 is a three part exhibitions that is not only showcasing an array of diverse, international study options, but has also expanded its Technology and Didactic Materials (Gulf Education & Training Equipment & Technology), and Corporate Training & Human Resource Development segments.

GETEX’s Technology and Didactic Materials segment offers didactic technology providers a platform to showcase learning technology to regional investors, helping develop business networks between international didactic technology vendors and regional educational and vocational institutes.

The exhibition’s Corporate Training and Human Resource segment, which debuted in GETEX 2006, provides a convergence of training and human resource development programmes as organizations and individuals look to maximize potential in competitive Middle Eastern markets.

GETEX 2007 is reviving the highly successful GETEX Concurrent Conferences that debuted in 2006, facilitating discussions on issues of workplace learning, knowledge management, diversity in the workplace and other related topics. In addition, the 2007 edition is introducing a brand new series of interactive workshops termed “Meet the Career Gurus.” Building on the premise that students require practical guidance in career planning, “Meet the Career Gurus” offers them a chance to interview nine successful business people and entrepreneurs to pick up tips and tricks of the trade.

“GETEX 2007 is an excellent opportunity for universities, training institutions and technology providers to reach their core audiences. GETEX’s success has been driven by high quality targeted visitors, and this year will be no different. We are looking forward to a highly productive event for all our exhibitors and visitors,” concluded Godinho.

The Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) is the largest education fair in the Middle East region. Organised by International Conferences & Exhibitions (IC&E), GETEX is held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Education and enjoys the support of Dubai Knowledge Village, the region’s biggest ensemble of institutes of higher education, and the British Council in Dubai. GETEX is divided in to three segments-Academic and Students Recruitment; Educational Technology; Corporate training.

In the 19th successive year of showing, GETEX is providing a forum to educational and training institutes from almost every region of the world. The 18th GETEX, held in April 2006 in Dubai, attracted 563 institutions from 40 countries and an audience of over, 30,000 students, parents, teachers and education professionals.
