ALBAWABA - In the written statement from the Media Office affiliated with the government, it was stated, "The US administration is trying to beautify its ugly face and appear civilized by saying that the purpose of the port is to deliver humanitarian aid and food to the Palestinian people in Gaza."

The Gaza government's Media Office expressed suspicion over the port's development, claiming the US administration's motivations may not be altruistic. Despite claiming to assist humanitarian operations, the US government has been accused of supporting Israel in its management and prolongation of the Gaza conflict, functioning as a bulwark for occupation troops and civilian attacks.

The Gaza leadership wants all border crossings reopened and gasoline provided to relieve the humanitarian crisis. The statement also blames the US for Gaza's "starvation" policy.

The government also urges nations, international entities, and organizations to put pressure on Israel and the US to cease the war and Gaza assaults. Notably, Israel's partners must stop supplying deadly weapons that have killed civilians, especially children and women.

The statement follows the US Department of Defense's May 8 notification that the temporary port for humanitarian relief delivery by sea is complete. Later, CENTCOM stated that assistance shipments from the new Gaza port had begun.
