Fun with science is the theme for the workshop targeting 2nd and 3rd graders
Fun with Science, an innovative concept, for children between the ages of 6 – 8 years was the workshop recently hosted by the Tide Science Club. Workshop session was conducted by Ms. Abeer Al Sayegh a science teacher who put together the workshop elements aiming to feature basic elements of physics and chemistry in a fun perspective targeting elementary children. The workshop was open for mothers to attend and see first-hand what was being taught.
The workshop session began with an ice breaking session, followed by some experiments which were first presented by the teacher and then each student was allowed to conduct their own experiment. Experiments included making lava, the formation of sound and echoing by utilizing empty bottles, the basis of shapes and shadows in the dark, coloring flowers, and unmixable liquids experiments.
The workshop aimed to give students the opportunity to try various science experiments and gave them the opportunity to test various substances and elements showcasing themselves how the elements surrounding us have various impacts. Over 20 students had signed up and attended the one day session and upon completion received certificates of participation.
The event hosted at the Tide Science Club was part of the educational and awareness enhancing program that Tide hosts as part of its commitment to the society and the development of the youth creativity and talents. This session follows a series of special activities hosted by Tide in continuation of its latest product launch, Tide with Natural Soap. That included a mall roadshow held recently in Jeddah where promoters gave information and updates on the product and its benefits allowing the visitors to try first-hand the product on sight and finally the
“Back to Basics in Nature” seminar hosted by leading clinical Ayruvedic Specialist and Yoga Instructor Ms. Nouf Marwai on the 20th of November 2008, discussed key areas concerning natural products and their affect not only on the skin but also its effects on feelings and mood behavior. The session shed light on how one can benefit from natural elements all around and encourage uplifting behavior from within will also provide the attendees with tips and facts on various natural elements that are readily available and their benefits in general.
