Four officers were hurt when they accidentally set off a bomb while trying to dispose of it at Istanbul's police force headquarters, the Anatolia news agency reported, quoted by AFP.
The explosion occurred on the third floor of the building --in the Aksaray district in the city's European quarter -- which houses the anti-terrorism and bomb disposal departments, the report said.
The powerful blast shattered all the windows on the third floor.
There was no further information on the blast, or the perpetrators.
