Lebanon's outgoing Culture Minister Ghassan Salameh has reportedly been appointed to serve as U.N advisor in Iraq.

Al Mustaqbal newspaper on Monday quoted a U.N. source as saying Salameh arrived in Baghdad Sunday and assumed his new post as advisor to the U.N. secretary-general's special envoy to Iraq Sergio Vieira de Mello.
