Ford Middle East presented the all-new 2009 Ford Flex to Sirhan Wahab, who won the grand prize in the GITEX "passport trail" scheme which gave visitors the chance to win Ford's latest full-size crossover, the official car for GITEX.
The Flex was handed to Sirhan by Hussein Murad, Ford Middle East's director of Sales as well as Jean-Philippe Cossé and Greg Zaralides of the Dubai World Trade Centre, organizers of GITEX Technology Week.

Flex is the new, innovative, full-size, 7-passenger crossover that has been making waves in North America since its introduction a few months back. The car had an equal popularity from GITEX visitors and is currently witnessing positive feedback from GCC consumers.

It has a daring and distinctive design coupled with a stylish interior, a smart package and unmatched features and technologies such as SYNC, the Ford exclusive voice activated telecommunications and entertainment system powered by Microsoft, ambient lighting, a class-exclusive refrigerated 2nd row console, next-gen touch keyless entry, an EasyFuel™ capless fuel filler and a Sony audio system.

Flex is powered by Ford’s award-winning 3.5-liter V-6 engine delivering 262 NET hp at 6,250 rpm and 248 lb.-ft. of NET torque at 4,500 rpm, mated to a fuel-efficient, advanced 6-speed automatic transmission that uses a wide 6.04:1 gear ratio to deliver good fuel economy.

GITEX Technology Week, the regions leading technology exhibition, took place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.  Ford’s involvement in GITEX made them the first automobile manufacturer to establish presence at the event as an official supporter and exhibitor.
