The first Eidyat Dubai Mega Raffle will be held in the Grand Atrium of the Dubai Mall on December 8 at 10pm as ‘Eid in Dubai’ celebrations marking Eid Al Adha are launched across Dubai. Organised by the Dubai Shopping Festival Office, the exclusive draw held as part of the Eidyat Dubai Promotion will give away prizes worth AED 3 million during three days.
The Eidyat Dubai Promotion attracted the participation of 16 leading shopping malls in Dubai under the Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG), in addition to Dubai Gold & Jewellery and Union Cooperative Society outlets. The AED-3-million-promotion was an initiative by the DSF Office to rejuvenate Dubai’s retail sector in the current economic circumstances.
Laila Suhail, Chief Executive Officer of DSF Office said, “Eidyat Dubai Promotion aims at enticing the retail sector by motivating the retail outlets to offer competitive prices during the Eid period. And by this, we were able to increase the footfall and the expenditure during 20 days of the campaign.”
“Combining shopping and winning has always been the trademark of the DSF Office events and once again it proves its fruitful results through the Eidyat Dubai campaign,” she added.
Eesa Adam, General Manager of BurJuman said, “In the present challenging economic scenario, Dubai’s retail industry has succeeded in attracting shoppers with winning opportunities and discounts. The Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG) joined hands with Dubai Shopping Festival Office (DSFO) to celebrate Eid with mega winning opportunities and mall based events.”
“The extended public holidays, mega winning opportunities and the festive spirit created by ‘Eid in Dubai’ events will assist the retail sector in achieving its target this year. All leading DSMG member malls are participating in the Eidyat Dubai Promotion and we expect a 10 per cent incremental growth over last year due to this carefully considered promotional effort,” he added.
Tawheed Abdulla, Managing Director of Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group, “The inaugural Eidyat Dubai Promotion has proved to be significantly beneficial for the jewellery industry in Dubai with the concept of winning AED 3 million during the three days of Eid Al Adha enhancing revenues for outlets. We expect a 15 per cent increase in sales during Eid this year and we are positive that stable gold prices will contribute to the upward trend in jewellery sales.”
