Fez, one of Morocco's main cities will receive 28 buses from the city of Strasbourg as of January 2005. This is the fruit of a partnership agreement signed between Hamid Chabat, the mayor of the city of Fez and Fabienne Keller, the mayor of Strasbourg. The agreement was penned in the course of a recent visit to France.
The agreement covers a wide range of cultural and commercial issues and is seen to have major strategic economic significance for the relatively poor city of Fez.
