Political Group Fateh declared general mobilization to stand against the Israeli aggression, reported Al Jazira Satellite Channel late Thursday.
The mainstream Palestinian faction announced, two days ago, the formation of armed militias to protect the Palestinian civilians from Israeli attacks.
In an interview with Al Jazira, General Secretary of the Lebanese Islamist party Hizbollah, Hassan Nasserallah, said “it is the right time for Fateh to take a solid stand regarding Israeli aggression.” He added, “what Palestinians now need the most is national unity.”
Nasrallah also stressed that this would be a good time for President Arafat to regain national trust.
On his part, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak , called on his people to take a firm stand supporting a coalition government.
