Extreme networks summit x650 switch voted data centre product of the year
Two Powerful Enterprise Solutions, the Summit® X650 and Summit X450 10 gigabit and gigabit switches receive prestigious honours at the Network Computing Awards in London
Extreme Networks has recently celebrated its success at the Network Computing Awards 2009 after winning two major industry awards at a ceremony held at Guoman Tower Hotel in London. The Summit® X650 data centre switch was voted the Data Centre Product of the Year and the Summit® X450 family of switches won Infrastructure Product of the Year award.
The 2009 Network Computing Awards comprised of 24 categories to reflect the wide range of application areas that impact the modern day network. Extreme Networks is ideally positioned to address the growing needs of end users, connected edge devices and the various networking demands set by today’s dynamic organisations. Extreme Networks switching products were short listed as finalists in four separate categories, winning the Network Infrastructure Product of the Year and Data Centre Product of the Year categories against competition from the likes of Cisco and Juniper Networks.

The Summit® X650 10 Gigabit fixed switch, is a “Top of Rack”
