Dubai will be lightened up with a completely new type of lighting and decorations during the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), which is due to take place from March 1 to 31. The bright lights were chosen to fit the “One World One Family One Festival” theme, according to Khaleej Times.
The Decoration Committee has chosen various dynamic and attractive designs for street lighting and illumination, after a complex selection process, which began roughly a year ago.
Mohammed Al Noori, Head of DSF Decoration Committee and Head of Advertisement Section at Dubai Municipality conveyed: "Everything is in place to decorate Dubai like never before. Every decoration and lighting pattern will be new this year, and better in every respect."
Al Noori pointed out that the decoration aspect of Dubai during the upcoming Shopping Festival had now reached a professional stage and great emphasis is being placed on innovation, creativity and perfect finish.
“The decoration will, of course, be based on the DSF 2002 theme, but the concepts and implementation will be different”, Al Noori stated. "We in Dubai believe in the slogan “Everyday a new Dubai” and this will be reflected in the lighting and decoration of streets during the festival."
Among the many exciting attractions, one of the highlights of this year's decoration is that each area of Dubai will be decorated differently, in order to project a distinctive atmosphere. The colors and designs will also be of different nature in each area. (Albawaba.com)
