During the fifth meeting of the permanent Moroccan-Spanish working group for the prevention of illegal immigration it was indicated that the European Union plans to grant 40 million euros to Morocco for a project aimed at improving the kingdom's "Border Control Management" as part of Morocco's and the EU joint fight against illegal emigration. The meeting was held last week in Madrid, in the framework of the euro-Mediterranean partnership program.

Bladi.Net reports that, according to the European Union delegation in Rabat, the grant will be transferred to Morocco in the form of various tools meant for 'detection, identification, monitoring, intervention, transport and rescue' and will also include a training program for the units in charge with the fight against illegal immigration.
